About This Role
DHL Air (Bahrain) is recruiting B767 First Officers for a holding pool while awaiting future employment opportunities in the near to medium term. Based at Bahrain International Airport, the operation flies B767 aircraft on long- and short-haul international routes connecting Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. The First Officer supports the Commander in safe, efficient and compliant flight operations, contributes to aircraft readiness, navigation, emergency response, reporting and crew coordination, and joins a skilled team focused on safety, service, on-time performance and career development.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as First Officer on DHL international aircraft and operate safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. Assist the Commander with the safe conduct of each flight by confirming that the aircraft is airworthy, properly serviced and correctly loaded
- reviewing the route, terminal areas, weather and terminal reports
- and completing assigned duties under the company operations manual, standard operating procedures and aircraft flight manual. Maintain an independent check of aircraft position and terrain clearance, provide the Commander with relevant advice and information, and assist with decisions and administrative duties. Support the highest standards of safety and proficiency, comply with BCAA regulations, company manuals and air traffic control instructions, and take necessary emergency action if acting as pilot-in-command during the Commander's absence, including deviation from normal procedures where required for safety. Advise management, maintenance, flight dispatch and relevant authorities about safety issues, aircraft serviceability, pilot impairment, incidents, accidents and other reportable occurrences. Requirements
- Applicants must hold an ICAO CPL/IR with ATPL theoretical knowledge credit and a valid unrestricted Class 1 Medical Certificate
- corrective lenses are acceptable. The minimum experience is 1,500 hours total flight time plus 500 hours on either jet aircraft with a MTOM greater than 10 tons or turboprop aircraft with a MTOM greater than 18 tons. Strong communication skills are required, and all components of CRM must be fully understood and continually practiced. Preference will be given to B767/757 type-rated candidates and applicants with prior jet experience. Holding-pool applicants must submit all pages or both sides of their flight crew licence, a Class 1 Medical Certificate, their last three logbook pages, and a current CV covering current and previous operators, aircraft types flown, hours on current and previous types, date of last flight, and date of last B757/B767 flight if applicable. An English Language Proficiency Certificate is required if it is not endorsed on the licence.
