About This Role
National Airways Corporation is recruiting a B1900 Captain and First Officer to join its Contracts team on a permanent basis. The roles involve contract flying assignments lasting between six and nine weeks, including charter operations from Lanseria when Johannesburg-based and travel to high-risk areas. Separate minimum experience profiles are specified for Captains and First Officers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Join National Airways Corporation's Contracts team and perform B1900 contract flying on a permanent basis.
- Duties include operating charter flights from Lanseria when required or when Johannesburg-based, completing contract assignments lasting between six and nine weeks, and accepting travel to high-risk areas.
- The posting also expects accurate, independent, disciplined and dependable work in a team environment.
Requirements
- Captain minimum requirements are 1,500 hours total time, 750 hours total PIC time, 450 hours on type, and 250 hours PIC time on type.
- An ATP would be advantageous.
- Captains must be able and willing to undertake contract work for periods ranging from six to nine weeks, fly charter from Lanseria if Johannesburg-based, and travel to high-risk areas.
- First Officer minimum requirements are 500 hours total time, 100 hours total PIC time, and 100 hours on the B1900.
- A CPL is required, while a frozen ATPL is advantageous.
- First Officers must be able and willing to undertake six- to nine-week contract assignments, travel to high-risk areas, and fly charter from Lanseria if required.
