About This Role
The Royal Flying Doctor Service seeks an experienced pilot to join their Queensland operations, based in Rockhampton, operating a modern fleet of King Air aircraft on critical aeromedical missions. This full-time role combines emergency medical retrievals and interfacility transfers with the opportunity to make a tangible impact delivering healthcare to remote Australian communities. Requirements
- Current Instrument Rating - Multi Engine Aircraft with four or more renewals
- Current Australian ATPL or CPL
- Current Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate
- 4000 hours total flying time
- 2500 hours as Pilot in Command
- 2000 hours as Pilot in Command of Multi-engine aircraft
- 200 hours as Pilot in Command at night
- 200 hours instrument time
- Turbine experience
- Recent single-pilot flying experience within the last 2 to 5 years (highly desirable)
- Australian citizenship, permanent residency or valid working rights
- Strong situational awareness and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Physical capacity to assist with patient and equipment handling
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Current unrestricted Queensland driver's licence
- Evidence of required vaccinations or immunity
- ASIC
- Pass drug and alcohol testing
- Pass simulator assessment
