About This Role
CAE is recruiting an experienced ex-military pilot instructor to deliver A330 MRTT, known as the KC-30A in Australia, training at RAAF Base Amberley near Brisbane. The instructor will support Australian Defence pilot qualification, currency and proficiency training through mission briefings, debriefings and hands-on instruction in a new flight training device. The role combines operationally relevant simulator training, syllabus improvement, technical collaboration and opportunities for future lead-instructor or CAE leadership responsibilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Reporting to the KC30A Lead Instructor and supporting a programme run by the Key Account Manager, the instructor will support Pilot Qualification courses as well as currency and proficiency events. Responsibilities include delivering engaging mission briefs and debriefs
- providing hands-on simulator instruction to KC30A pilot students in a new, state-of-the-art Flight Training Device
- collaborating with simulator maintenance teams to keep training equipment performing at its best
- developing and continuously improving training materials and the syllabus
- and supporting CAE technical staff with innovation, critical thinking and the evolution of training delivery.
