About This Role
CAE is recruiting an A330 Flight Simulator Instructor in Mabalacat, Philippines. The A330 Simulator Flight Instructor I provides simulator and, when required, ground-school training under applicable regulatory, customer and CAE standards, delivers instruction supporting licenses, type ratings and certifications, and manages briefings, client records, competency progress, remedial training recommendations, simulator discrepancies and instructional qualification validity. The instructor may contribute as a subject-matter expert to training curricula and courseware, complete examiner-responsibility training when assigned, and invigilate examinations. Minimum qualifications include either 2000 PIC hours on a multi-crew jet transport or 1000 PIC hours on the relevant aircraft type, an ICAO-recognized ATPL with ICAO English level 5, at least two years of relevant aviation training, flight instruction or related experience, applicable simulator-instructor qualification experience, a professional pilot license, regulatory knowledge, strong communication and customer-focus skills, quality and continuous-improvement orientation, adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and fluency in English. The position is listed as On Call (Fixed Term).
Duties & Responsibilities
- The A330 Simulator Flight Instructor I is responsible for delivering training primarily in a flight simulator or other training devices and, when required, in a ground school environment.
- Training must be conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, customer requirements, and CAE standards.
- Responsibilities Conduct pre-flight and post-flight simulator briefings in a thorough, professional manner and in accordance with CAE standards.
- Deliver training sessions in accordance with CAE, aircraft manufacturer, and customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provide simulator flight instruction supporting the issuance of licenses, type ratings, and certifications.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive client training records to measure progress against established competency standards and support seamless instructor handovers.
- Recommend remedial training when a client is not meeting required training progress standards.
- Record simulator utilization and discrepancies in accordance with established procedures.
- Monitor the validity of instructional qualifications to maintain eligibility to deliver training in accordance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in the development of training curricula and courseware, as required.
- Complete training for examiner responsibilities when assigned by the Head of Training.
- Act as an invigilator during examinations, as required.
Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 2000 hours pilot-in-command (PIC) on a multi- crew jet transport or 1000 hours PIC on the relevant aircraft type.
- Hold / have held an ICAO-recognized ATPL with minimum ICAO English level 5.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant aviation training, flight instruction, or related experience.
- Meet the minimum experience requirements established by the applicable regulatory authority for simulator instructor qualification.
- Hold, or have previously held, a professional pilot license.
- Working knowledge of applicable aviation regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
