About This Role
Royal Jordanian Airlines is recruiting a type-rated A320 Captain based in Amman, Jordan. The Captain safely commands and operates the Airbus A320 fleet in accordance with the airline's Operations Manuals, Airbus procedures, and applicable national and international aviation regulations, holding final command authority for the safety and security of the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assume full command responsibility for the safety and security of the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo.
- Operate the aircraft in full compliance with the Operations Manuals and exercise final authority to issue commands necessary for flight safety.
- Ensure proper execution of all operational checklists before, during, and after all phases of flight, and manage normal, abnormal, and emergency situations in accordance with approved procedures.
- Ensure accurate reporting of operational, technical, and safety-related events.
- Lead and manage the flight crew, ensuring adherence to SOPs, CRM principles, and Threat & Error Management, conduct effective crew briefings, promote a strong safety culture, and ensure all crew comply with operational and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Candidates must hold a valid and unrestricted ICAO ATPL, a valid and current Class 1 Medical Certificate, and ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or higher.
- As a type-rated narrow-body Captain, applicants need a minimum of 5,500 total flight hours, a minimum of 3,000 jet hours, a minimum of 1,000 hours PIC on jet airliners, and a minimum of 500 hours PIC on the A320, and must be current on the A320 type.
- An ATPL-level education is listed.
