About This Role
BGI is seeking an A-10 Instructor/Subject Matter Expert to provide A-10C academic and simulator instruction at Moody AFB. The position delivers Instrument Refresher Course academics and operates the A-10C Full Mission Trainer in support of Continuation Training and Distributed Mission Operations simulation missions. The instructor is responsible for ensuring that learning objectives and performance standards are achieved in accordance with ACC and FTU directives and contract requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver A-10C academic instruction, including Instrument Refresher Course academics, and ensure that lessons and instructional materials comply with syllabus standards.
- Conduct A-10C Full Mission Trainer instruction for Continuation Training and Distributed Mission Operations, including preparation, briefing, event execution, debriefing, and documentation of student performance.
- Operate simulator systems and ensure that training-device events are conducted in accordance with approved syllabi and guidance.
- Monitor student progress, provide corrective feedback, maintain training records, and support instructor qualification, certification, and continuation-training requirements.
- Maintain currency and working knowledge of applicable A-10C publications, instructional materials, and FTU academic and simulator procedures.
Requirements
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens and have previous A-10C Instructor Pilot experience.
- A minimum of 500 hours of A-10C flight time is required, as is completion of a Criterion-Referenced Instruction course or an equivalent such as AFAIS, the ACC Classroom Instructor Course, or the Air Force Weapons School.
- An A-10C qualification within the last three years, or a contract A-10C instructor qualification within the last two years, is desired.
- Graduation from the Air Force Advanced Instrument School, the ACC Classroom Instructor Course, the Air Force Weapons School, or an equivalent programme is also desired.
- The position requires a SECRET DoD Security Clearance.
