About This Role
Textron Aviation is hiring an entry-level pilot for its Pilot Development Program in Wichita. The role combines flight and ground instruction for customer entitlement training in the piston fleet with sales-demonstration and marketing-support flights, operation of company and customer aircraft under FAA and ICAO regulations, detailed aircraft and product knowledge, recurrent training, flight-operations administration, and safety-focused coordination. The position requires a bachelor's degree, an FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with instrument and single- and multi-engine land ratings, CFI and CFII certificates, a second-class medical with the ability to obtain a first-class medical, and 800 flight hours including 400 hours of dual given.
Duties & Responsibilities

- acts as a flight and ground instructor for customer entitlement training in the piston fleet
- conducts exercise flights and flight-shadow activities supporting sales demonstrations and marketing
- and operates company and customer aircraft globally in compliance with applicable FAA and ICAO regulations and local operating procedures. Responsibilities also include maintaining thorough knowledge of aircraft models, systems, avionics, equipment, options, product changes, and updates
- completing initial and recurrent aircraft training, emergency procedures training, crew coordination training, international procedures training, and other management-directed training
- preparing expense reports and flight logs
- supporting international planning
- updating aircraft flight manuals and approach plates
- and performing other day-to-day flight-operations tasks. The pilot must follow Flight Operations policies, procedures, guidelines, and responsibilities, communicate noteworthy issues to department personnel, work collaboratively as a crew to create strong aviation experiences, and maintain safety as the primary consideration in every operation.

Requirements
- Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Aviation Science or a related discipline
- an FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with an instrument rating and Single/Multi-Engine Land ratings
- an FAA Second Class medical or better, with the ability to obtain an FAA First Class medical
- FAA Certified Flight Instructor and Flight Instructor Instrument certificates
- 800 flight hours and 400 hours of dual given
- a US Passport or the ability to successfully obtain one
- and a valid driver's license. Previous classroom experience as a ground instructor, an FAA Multi-Engine Instructor Rating, FAA Complex and High-performance endorsements, and familiarity with digital or glass flight decks are preferred. Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States for Textron Aviation at the time of application, and visa sponsorship is not available, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who require employment sponsorship. Candidates should also be comfortable learning and applying AI-enabled tools, evaluating AI-generated output with sound judgment, and using AI in accordance with company policy and ethical standards
