FlightSafety International seeks a Flight Instructor in Wichita, Kansas to deliver ground and simulator flight training to clients. Requires unrestricted ATP certificate, minimum one PIC type rating, and 2,500 hours total flight time preferred. Must participate in DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program.
Requirements
- Unrestricted ATP certificate or ICAO member state Airline Transport Pilot License
- Meet 14 CFR part 61.153 and 61.64 requirements without SOE limitation
- Minimum one unrestricted PIC type rating
- Participate in FlightSafety's DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program
- Knowledge of aviation safety standards and practices
- Knowledge of common aviation regulations
- Ability to manage classes and teach effectively
- First-level facilitation skills
- First-level customer service skills
- Ability to be coachable and receive feedback
- Physical ability to operate simulator controls and exit aircraft in emergency
- Close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds frequently
- Preferred: FAR Part 135, Part 121, or military training experience
- Preferred: 2,500 hours total flight time
- U.S. Person status (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
- Possible security clearance requirement for certain roles
