Skyborne, an industry-leading aviation training academy, is seeking a UPRT Instructor to deliver high-quality Upset Prevention and Recovery Training and spin training at their Vero Beach facility. The role requires FAA or EASA CFI certification with demonstrated experience in UPRT and spin training on high-performance single-engine aircraft. Full-time position offering $80,000-$85,000 annually with comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401k, and 18 days PTO.
Requirements
- FAA or EASA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI/CFII) certification, or equivalent UPRT qualification
- Demonstrated experience delivering UPRT and spin training in high-performance, single-engine aircraft
- Strong understanding of FAA/EASA aviation regulations
- Knowledge of flight safety principles and instructional methodology
- Excellent communication, evaluation, and organizational skills
- Ability to assess student performance objectively and deliver constructive feedback
- Commitment to continuous improvement, personal development, and safety culture
- Meet medical standards for flight instructors as required by governing aviation authority
- Ability to operate aircraft controls and perform in-air instructional maneuvers
- Ability to lift and transport training materials and equipment
- Valid flight instructor qualifications and currency
- Previous instructional experience in structured flight training environment (preferred)
- Previous military experience and aerobatic experience (preferred)
