About This Role
Seaborne Airlines, the USVI's premier seaplane airline, is seeking a Twin Engine Seaplane Pilot to operate De Havilland DHC-6-300 floatplanes under FAA Part 121 regulations. Based in St. Croix, this role involves scheduled and charter passenger service between Caribbean islands, requiring extensive multi-engine float experience and proficiency in tropical marine environments. Candidates must hold an FAA ATP certificate with Multi-Engine Land & Sea rating and demonstrate prior Part 121 or 135 seaplane operations experience. Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate De Havilland DHC-6-300 aircraft in compliance with FAA Part 121 regulations and company SOPs
- Conduct water-based operations including takeoffs, landings, taxiing, docking, and mooring
- Perform pre-flight planning and inspections, and post-flight documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, ATC, ground support, and passengers
- Adapt quickly to dynamic tropical weather patterns and variable sea conditions
- Deliver safe, efficient, and exceptional service in a high-visibility passenger-facing role

Requirements
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Written Test completed
- FAA Commercial Multi-Engine Land & Sea rating
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- Prior experience in FAA Part 121 or 135 operations
- Demonstrated proficiency in seaplane operations in coastal, island, or open water environments
- U.S. citizenship or legal work authorization for operations in U.S. territories
- Preferred: FAA ATP Certificate with Multi-Engine Land & Sea rating
- Preferred: PIC time on DHC-6 Twin Otter (floats), Grumman G-73 Mallard, or similar aircraft
- Preferred: Experience operating in Caribbean or tropical maritime environments
- Preferred: Familiarity with marine and aviation weather systems
- Preferred: CRM and communication skills for diverse, multicultural passenger base
