About This Role
TSC has immediate openings for pilots to serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Second-in-Command (SIC) for civil fisheries enforcement maritime surveillance missions across multiple island locations in the Central and Western Pacific. Flight operations are conducted in accordance with 14 CFR Part 91 in a dual-pilot configuration (although single-pilot operations are authorized) flying civilian-registered King Air 200/300 aircraft configured for maritime surveillance. The positions involve three-month rotational assignments that include pre-deployment training/travel and post-deployment administrative tasks/travel.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsibilities – PIC: Act as PIC of a King Air 200/300 aircraft on functional check flight, transit, surveillance missions.
- Accomplish mission planning to include flight route, weather and fuel planning, preparation/filing flight plans, aircraft preflight inspections, Aircrew Risk Management assessments and aircraft weight and balance calculations.
- Conduct briefings with crew members on normal and emergency procedures.
- Inspection and testing of all aircraft lifesaving/emergency equipment.
- Accomplish pre and post-flight record keeping administrative tasks.
- Prepare informal and formal written reports of observations made during missions.
- Responsibilities – SIC: Act as SIC in a King Air 200/300 aircraft.
- Assist the PIC as directed.
- Assist the crew chief with pre/post flight duties.
- Perform ATC and Oceanic radio communications during international transit and mission flights.
Requirements
- FAA ratings to include Airplane Multi-Engine Land (AMEL) and Instrument Airplane with Commercial Privileges (Equivalent ratings from the Australian Civil Aviation and Safety Authority (CASA) will be considered). FAA Second-class medical certificate, valid throughout deployment periods. Current US or Australian Passport. Minimum 23 Years of age. Flight Time Requirements – PIC: Minimum of 1500 hours total flight time
- Minimum of 1000 hours PIC time
- Minimum of 500 hours AMEL
- 250 hours in BE200/350
- Minimum of 50 hours AMEL in the last 6 months. Flight Time Requirements - SIC: Minimum of 750 hours of total documented flight time
- Minimum of 100 hours of total PIC time
- Minimum of 200 hours AMEL
- Minimum of 50 hours AMEL in the last 6 months. Preferred Flight Qualifications: 3000 hours of total flight time
- CFI/CFII/MEI ratings
- 1500 hours of PIC time
- 1000 hours AMEL
- 100 hours AMEL in the last 6 months
- 500 hours in King Air aircraft
- 200 hours of instrument (actual) time
- BE-200/300 Type ratings.
