About This Role
ASEC is seeking an experienced Test Pilot for the P-8A Poseidon aircraft to support the NAVAIR PMA-290 program office in Seattle, WA. This part-time position involves P-8A Software Integration and Test, ensuring mission systems are fully validated for fleet operations. Candidates must have a minimum of eight years as a pilot with two years as an instructor pilot, plus P-8A Patrol Plane Commander and operational experience, along with a 737 type rating. The role requires an active DoD Top Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship. Compensation is $65-$68/hour, with this being a specialized government aerospace test pilot position requiring extensive experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support NAVAIR PMA-290 program office
- Conduct P-8A Software Integration and Test
- Validate mission systems for fleet operations
- Manage and lead test teams
- Perform test and evaluation activities
- Ensure aircraft acceptance for sponsor/customer
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Security clearance at Secret level
- Minimum eight years of experience as a pilot
- Minimum two years as an instructor pilot
- 737 Type Rating required
- P-8A Patrol Plane Commander and operational experience required
- Test and Evaluation experience required
- Experience managing and leading a test team required
- CPL license with Instrument Rating (IR) and Multi-Engine (ME) endorsements
- Valid FAA medical certificate (Class 2)
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Proficient with Microsoft 365
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance required
- Eligible for access to classified information
