About This Role
Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI) at Airbus India Training Centre (AITC), the 50:50 Airbus/Air India JV in Gurugram delivering A320 and A350 training to new pilots. The role instructs airline crews converting to Airbus using Fixed Base Simulators, classroom, Airbus Pilots Training Devices and Full Flight Simulators — a simulator/ground-based instructor position, not line flying. Requires a held EASA/DGCA ATPL and substantial flight experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Instruct airline crews converting to Airbus on all operational and technical aspects for a specific type (or types) using Fixed Base Simulators, Classroom, Airbus Pilots Training Devices and Full Flight Simulators.
  • Give stand-up lectures to ensure crews can safely carry out all normal and emergency procedures to the required level of standard proficiency.
  • Adhere to Airbus standard policy and standardization.
  • Instruct crews within defined time limits, evaluate crews' progression, and decide on any extra sessions needed.
  • Deliver other specific courses (ETOPS, performance, etc.) if required, and participate in courses development or standardization instruction.
Requirements
  • You have acquired 3000 hours of total flight time as pilot with minimum 1500 flight hours on multi-pilot aircraft (MPA).
  • You hold or have held an EASA and/or DGCA ATPL License.
  • You have or have held a type rating on Airbus aircraft is a plus.
  • A Synthetic Flight Instructor Authorization or experience as Instructor would be a plus.
  • A negotiation level of English is required for this position.
