About This Role
flyADVANCED is seeking a professional, safety-focused SR-22 Captain and Pilot in Command to support its company Cirrus SR22 operations from Wings Field (KLOM) in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, and New Castle Airport (KILG) in New Castle, Delaware. The position pays $75.00 per hour and is intended for candidates within a reasonable driving distance of at least one airport; candidates able to conveniently support both locations are especially desirable. The work combines operation under FAA regulations, manufacturer guidance, and flyADVANCED procedures with flight planning, passenger service, documentation, maintenance-discrepancy reporting, aircraft readiness, and safe, professional, on-time operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- As Pilot in Command, safely operate company Cirrus SR22 aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidance, and flyADVANCED operating procedures.
- Complete flight planning and weather review, perform required pre-flight and post-flight duties, provide professional passenger briefings and a high level of service throughout each trip, maintain accurate flight and aircraft documentation, promptly communicate aircraft maintenance discrepancies, maintain aircraft readiness, and support safe, professional, and on-time flight operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs.
Requirements
- The flight-time requirements are 1,200 hours of total fixed-wing flight time, 500 hours cross-country, 100 hours night, and 75 hours instrument. The 1,200-hour minimum must be met with fixed-wing flight time
- rotorcraft or helicopter time does not count toward it. Required qualifications include an FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate for airplanes, an Airplane Instrument Rating, a current FAA Medical Certificate, a valid U.S. passport and driver's license, and authorization to work in the United States and travel without restriction. Applicants must live within a reasonable driving distance of at least one operating location and be able to work a flexible schedule covering days, nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require. Strong communication, decision-making, and customer-service skills, a professional appearance, and the ability to interact effectively with aircraft owners and passengers are required. The ability to conveniently support both KLOM and KILG, along with Cirrus SR22 and Garmin experience, is preferred.
