About This Role
Jet Linx Aviation is hiring a Second in Command for Gulfstream GV heavy-jet operations based in Teterboro, New Jersey. The SIC supports safe and efficient Part 91 and Part 135 operations, reports to the Base Chief Pilot, and must live near the base or be willing to relocate within a two-hour call-out area. The posting requires 2,500 total flight hours, 500 hours of PIC time, 500 multi-engine hours, 100 turbine hours, 150 instrument hours, an unrestricted ATP, a first-class medical, and the ability to meet the company's operational, travel, work-authorization, and schedule requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Second in Command reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and helps prepare and ensure the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. Duties include managing duty, flight, and rest times under company and CFR requirements
- maintaining communication with the company regarding standby assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports
- maintaining and managing electronic flight bag hardware and applications
- ensuring navigation charts, publications, and company manuals remain current
- maintaining a current first-class medical certificate
- demonstrating strong, proactive decision-making
- and representing Jet Linx core values in all interactions.
What We Offer
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The starting base annual salary ranges from $135,000 to $170,000, with the actual offer dependent on geographic location, aircraft size, and the candidate's education, training, and experience. Requirements
- Minimum requirements are 2,500 hours total time, 500 hours total PIC, 500 hours total multi-engine time, 100 hours total turbine time, and 150 hours total instrument time. Candidates must hold an unrestricted ATP, a first-class medical certificate, an FCC Restricted Radio License, and a current passport
- prove eligibility to work in the United States
- be able to obtain a U.S. driver's license
- pass pre-employment and required random drug and alcohol testing
- and pass a FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot. The candidate must have unrestricted ability to travel to EU, Canadian, and Caribbean countries, work nights, weekends, and holidays, and possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Initial or recurrent Part 142 training in type within the previous 24 months is preferred. The candidate must live in or be willing to relocate to the Teterboro base area and be able to meet a two-hour call-out time. The role also involves working around aircraft and terminals and moving up to 50 pounds frequently.
