About This Role
Jet Linx is recruiting a full-time Second in Command for a Gulfstream G200 based in Teterboro, New Jersey. The SIC supports safe and efficient company-aircraft operations in Part 91 and Part 135 environments, reports to the Base Chief Pilot, and must meet substantial FAA flight-time, licensing, medical, work-authorization, travel, training, and availability requirements. The role requires 1,500 hours total time, 500 hours PIC, 500 hours multi-engine time, 100 hours turbine time, and 150 hours instrument time.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Second in Command reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and prepares for and supports the safe, efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. Core duties include managing duty, flight, and rest times under company requirements and CFRs
- maintaining communication with the company regarding standby assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports
- maintaining and managing electronic flight bag hardware and applications
- keeping navigation charts, publications, and company manuals current
- maintaining a current first-class medical certificate
- demonstrating strong, proactive decision-making
- and representing Jet Linx's core values in all interactions.
What We Offer
Jet Linx offers a starting base annual salary of $124,000 to $160,000, with the actual amount dependent on geographic location, aircraft size and crew position, relevant education, training, and experience. Requirements
- Minimum qualifications include 1,500 hours total flight time, 500 hours total PIC time, 500 hours total multi-engine time, 100 hours total turbine time, and 150 hours total instrument time.
- Candidates must hold an unrestricted ATP, a current first-class medical certificate, an FCC Restricted Radio License, a current passport, and proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- They must be able to obtain a U.S. driver's license, pass a pre-employment drug screen, participate in random drug and alcohol testing when required, travel without restriction to EU, Canadian, and Caribbean destinations, pass a FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot, and work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Initial or recurrent Part 142 training in type within the previous 24 months is preferred.
- The position also requires the physical ability to work around aircraft and terminals and move up to 50 pounds frequently.
