About This Role
Jet Linx Aviation is hiring a full-time Second in Command for its Gulfstream G200 super-midsize jet operation in Austin, Texas. The SIC reports to the Base Chief Pilot and is responsible for preparing and supporting the safe, efficient operation of company aircraft under Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. The successful candidate must live or be willing to relocate within a two-hour call-out time of the assigned home base and must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Second in Command reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and prepares for and supports the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. Duties include managing duty, flight, and rest times under company requirements and the CFRs
- maintaining communication with the company regarding standby assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports
- maintaining and managing electronic flight bag hardware and applications
- and ensuring that navigation charts, publications, and company manuals remain current. The SIC is also expected to demonstrate strong, proactive decision-making and Jet Linx core values in all interactions.

Requirements
- Minimum qualifications include 1,500 hours of total flight time, 500 hours of total PIC time, 500 hours of total multi-engine time, 100 hours of total turbine time, and 150 hours of total instrument time.
- The posting requires an unrestricted ATP, a first-class medical certificate, an FCC Restricted Radio License, a current passport, U.S. work eligibility, the ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license, and the ability to pass pre-employment and required random drug and alcohol testing.
- Candidates must be able to travel without restriction to EU, Canadian, and Caribbean countries, pass a FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot, and work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Initial or recurrent Part 142 training in type within the previous 24 months is preferred.
- The role also involves frequent movement of up to 50 pounds and work in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
