About This Role
Jet Linx is hiring a full-time Second in Command for Citation XLS+ midsize jet operations conducted under Part 91 and Part 135. Based in the Washington, DC area, the SIC reports to the Base Chief Pilot and supports the safe, efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. The candidate must live within, or be willing to relocate within, a two-hour callout time of the home base.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Second in Command manages duty, flight, and rest periods in accordance with company requirements and applicable CFRs. The role maintains communication with the company regarding standby assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports
- maintains and manages electronic flight bag hardware and applications
- ensures navigation charts, publications, and company manuals remain current
- maintains a current first-class medical certificate
- demonstrates strong, proactive decision-making
- and represents Jet Linx core values in all interactions.
What We Offer
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including a starting base annual salary of $89,000 to $125,000, health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a 6% company match, paid time off, and company-paid life and short-term disability coverage.
Requirements
- Applicants must have 1,500 hours total flight time, 500 hours total PIC time, 500 hours total multi-engine time, 100 hours total turbine time, and 150 hours total instrument time. Initial or recurrent Part 142 training in type within the previous 24 months is preferred. Other requirements include the ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license
- proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- a current passport
- the ability to obtain an ATP
- a first-class medical certificate
- an FCC Restricted Radio License
- successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and participation in random drug and alcohol testing when required
- unrestricted travel to Canada and Caribbean countries
- authorization to release and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot
- availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- and a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. The position also requires frequent movement of up to 50 pounds and work primarily around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
