About This Role
Jet Linx Aviation is seeking a full-time Second in Command for a Challenger 350 super-midsize jet supporting Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. The SIC reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and prepares for and ensures the safe, efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. The position is associated with the Chicago area and GYY-based aircraft, and the successful candidate must live or be willing to relocate within a two-hour call-out time of the home base.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Second in Command reports to the Base Chief Pilot and prepares and ensures the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft under Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. Duties include managing duty, flight, and rest times in accordance with company requirements and CFRs
- maintaining communication with the company regarding standby assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports
- maintaining and managing electronic flight bag hardware and applications
- and ensuring that navigation charts, publications, and company manuals remain current. The SIC must maintain a current first-class medical certificate, demonstrate strong and proactive decision-making, and consistently represent Jet Linx core values in all interactions.

The starting base annual salary ranges from $124,000 to $160,000, depending on geographic location, aircraft size, relevant education, training, and experience. Requirements
- Minimum qualifications include 1,500 hours total time, 500 hours total PIC, 500 hours total multi-engine, 100 hours total turbine, and 150 hours total instrument time. Candidates must hold an unrestricted ATP, a first-class medical certificate, and an FCC Restricted Radio License
- have a current passport, proof of eligibility to work in the United States, and unrestricted ability to travel to all EU, Canadian, and Caribbean countries. Applicants must be able to obtain a U.S. driver's license, pass a pre-employment drug screen, submit to random drug and alcohol testing when required, and release and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot. The role requires availability for nights, weekends, and holidays, a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, and the ability to work around aircraft and terminals and move up to 50 pounds frequently. Initial or recurrent Part 142 training in type within the last 24 months is preferred.
