About This Role
Advanced Air LLC is seeking a Second in Command (First Officer) for their Pilatus PC-12 turboprop operations based in Hawthorne, California. Advanced Air is a Part 135 on-demand air carrier founded in 2005, serving 12+ communities in the southwestern United States with scheduled and charter flights. Candidates must have a minimum 1000 total flight hours including 500 PIC hours, a Commercial Pilot License with multi-engine rating, and 500 cross-country hours. This position offers a competitive $55,000 annual salary with excellent benefits including 100% company-paid health insurance, 401(k) matching, KCM travel benefits, and generous per diem pay, with a typical schedule of 10 meaningful days off per month and 15 flying days monthly.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1000 hours total flight time
- Minimum 500 hours PIC
- Minimum 25 hours multi-engine fixed wing
- Commercial Airplane Multi-Engine Land certificate
- Minimum 500 hours cross-country flight time
- Minimum 100 hours night time
- Minimum 75 hours instrument flight time (50 in actual flight)
- CFI, CFII, MEI certificates preferred but not required
- Successfully pass FAA oral/written exam within preceding 12 calendar months
- Successfully complete competency check in PC-12 within preceding 12 calendar months
- Completed 6-month IFR proficiency check (FAR 135.297)
- Demonstrated enroute, arrival and departure procedures with FAA inspector or Check Airman
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration rules and regulations
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures

- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must pass FAA drug/alcohol screening and background checks
- Subject to random drug testing
- Valid medical certificate

- Ability to manipulate, push, pull, and lift objects over 150 lbs
- Ability to climb onto and off airplane wing
- Digital dexterity for aircraft preflight and postflight
- Ability to execute flights up to 4.5 hours with total duty time up to 14 hours
- Current U.S. Passport with at least 6 months validity throughout employment
- Multi-tasking capability
- Training contract commitment for 12 months from completion of initial training
