About This Role
Tyonek Services Group, Inc is seeking a Fixed Wing Second in Command pilot (SIC) for its in-house flight department, supporting an operational mixed fleet of fixed-wing and rotor helicopters under 14 CFR Part 135 and Part 91. The role supports executive transport, crew changes, surveillance, and offshore logistics and is based in Anchorage, Alaska.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The SIC reports to the PIC during assigned flights and otherwise to the Chief Pilot. Assumes all duties delegated by the PIC during flight assignments
- ensures the aircraft is supervised when fuel is received
- operates the aircraft in accordance with Company SOPs
- keeps passengers informed of flight status during delays
- assumes the role of PIC in the event of PIC incapacitation
- maintains familiarity with the manual and Company Compliance Documents
- registers in the Pilot Record Database (PRD) listing Grasshopper Aviation LLC as current employer
- tracks instrument and night landing currency
- flies the aircraft per PIC directions
- carries out take-offs and landings under PIC authority
- assists in loading/unloading and weight and balance
- participates in the safety management system
- able to travel internationally.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Possess a valid FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate.
- Possess a valid FAA Instrument Rating.
- Possess a valid FAA first- or second-class medical certificate.
- Post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing in a drug-free workplace.
- US Citizenship is required.
