About This Role
AirMed International, a leading provider of air medical transportation services and part of Global Medical Response (GMR), is seeking an experienced Second in Command (SIC) pilot for their Dallas, TX base. This position involves operating Cessna Citation 560 aircraft on medevac and cargo missions under FAR Part 135, with a rotating 7-on/7-off schedule. Candidates must hold or be eligible for an unrestricted FAA ATP certificate, have a minimum of 1500 total flight hours with 250 hours PIC and 250 hours multi-engine, and obtain a CE-560 PIC type rating. The role offers a competitive annual salary of $91,289-$104,331 with a $15,000 sign-on bonus, $40,000 retention bonus (3-year program), and up to $5,000 relocation assistance, plus comprehensive medical benefits and professional growth opportunities in emergency medical services.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate Cessna Citation 560 as Second in Command under FAR Part 135
  • Support the Pilot in Command in final authority of aircraft operations
  • Exercise Operational Control at Tier 2 level per General Operations Manual
  • Ensure safe execution of assigned flight duties
  • Ensure aircraft is ready for mission in coordination with AirMed's global operations center
  • Comply with all applicable FARs and operational specifications
  • Conduct pre-flight preparations and checks
  • Disseminate pertinent flight operations information through operational control structure
  • Maintain professional conduct sensitive to operational environment
  • Attend required meetings and training/check-flights as assigned
  • Perform de-icing, aircraft towing, hangar maneuvering, and pre-flight preparations as needed
  • Comply with duties and responsibilities in AirMed International general operating manual

Requirements
  • Valid unrestricted FAA ATP Certificate
  • Minimum 1500 total flight hours
  • Minimum 250 hours multi-engine airplane land
  • Minimum 250 hours PIC on airplane
  • CE-560 PIC type rating (must obtain)
  • Valid First-Class Medical Certificate
  • Ability to maintain First Class Medical Privileges
  • Valid US Passport
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Dallas, TX
  • High School Diploma, GED, or higher education
  • Previous medevac and/or cargo experience preferred
  • Ability to work night, day, and overnight shifts
  • Ability to work in outside weather conditions
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and perform physical duties for extended periods
