About This Role
Jet Linx Aviation is hiring a Second in Command (co-pilot) for its heavy-jet Bombardier Challenger 604/605 fleet, based in Austin, Texas, flying Part 91 and Part 135 operations. The SIC reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and helps prepare and ensure the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. This is a full-time position; the successful candidate must live within, or be willing to relocate to within, a two-hour call-out time of their home base.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage duty, flight, and rest times to the requirements of both the company and the CFRs
- maintain communication with the company for standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports
- maintain and manage electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and applications
- ensure navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current
- maintain a current First Class Medical certificate
- demonstrate strong, proactive decision-making
- and demonstrate Jet Linx's core values in all interactions. The majority of the work is completed in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.

Requirements
- Minimum flight experience: 2,500 hours total time, 500 hours PIC, 500 hours multi-engine, 100 hours turbine, and 150 hours instrument. Must hold an unrestricted ATP certificate, a current First Class Medical certificate, and an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator license. Initial or recurrent Part 142 training in type within the last 24 months is preferred. Must be able to obtain a U.S. driver's license, hold a current passport, provide proof of eligibility to work in the US, and have unrestricted ability to travel to all EU, Canada, and Caribbean countries. A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required. Must be able to release and pass an FAA Pilot Records Database review with a System Chief Pilot
- pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug/alcohol testing (safety-sensitive functions require pre-employment testing for marijuana, cocaine, opiates, PCP, and amphetamines)
- and be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Must live within or relocate to within a two-hour call-out time of the home base and be able to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
