About This Role
Jet Linx Aviation is seeking a qualified Second in Command for Challenger 604/605 heavy-jet operations based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The SIC reports to the Base Chief Pilot and supports the safe, efficient preparation and operation of company aircraft under Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. Applicants must live in or be willing to relocate within a two-hour call-out area of the home base, and must be prepared to work nights, weekends, and holidays in Part 91 and Part 135 operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Second in Command reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and helps prepare and ensure the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. Duties include managing duty, flight, and rest periods in compliance with company requirements and applicable CFRs
- maintaining communication with the company regarding standby assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports
- maintaining and managing electronic flight bag hardware and applications
- and ensuring that navigation charts, publications, and company manuals remain current. The SIC is expected to demonstrate strong, proactive decision-making and Jet Linx core values in all interactions. The majority of the work is performed in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.

The starting base annual salary ranges from $135,000 to $170,000, with the actual base salary determined by geographic location, aircraft size for crew positions, and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience. Requirements
- Minimum experience requirements are 2,500 hours total time, 500 hours total PIC time, 500 hours total multi-engine time, 100 hours total turbine time, and 150 hours total instrument time. Candidates must hold an unrestricted ATP, a current First Class medical certificate, and an FCC Restricted Radio License
- maintain a current passport
- provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- and be able to obtain a U.S. driver's license. Initial or recurrent Part 142 training in type within the previous 24 months is preferred. Applicants must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and participate in random drug and alcohol testing when required, travel without restriction to EU, Canadian, and Caribbean countries, release and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot, and work nights, weekends, and holidays. A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required. The role also involves working around aircraft and terminals and moving up to 50 pounds frequently.
