Ameriflight, the nation's largest Part 135 cargo airline, is seeking an experienced Captain to operate the Saab 340B SA-227 Metroliner based in San Angelo, TX. This position involves 4 round-trip flights per week between San Angelo and San Antonio with overnight layovers, providing stable scheduling and hotel accommodations. Candidates must have a minimum of 1,800 total flight hours with 1,000 PIC hours, 250 multi-engine hours, and previous FAR 121/135 experience. Requirements
- Commercial Pilot License with multi-engine land and instrument ratings
- High performance and complex aircraft endorsements
- Minimum 1,800 hours total flight time
- Minimum 1,000 hours PIC
- Minimum 500 hours cross-country time (point-to-point)
- Minimum 250 hours multi-engine time
- Minimum 100 hours turbine time
- Minimum 100 hours instrument flight time (50 must be in aircraft)
- Minimum 100 hours night flight time
- Previous multi-turbine PIC experience strongly preferred
- Previous FAR 121/135 experience required
- Instrument Proficiency Check or 121/135 recurrent within past 6 months
- First Class or Second Class Medical Certificate
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
- Current passport
- English proficient
- Eligible to work in the U.S. and travel unrestricted in and out of U.S.
- Must meet airport badging requirements and TSA Security background check
- Valid Driver's License
- Meet all company insurance criteria
- Must meet FAR 135.243(c) requirements for PIC in IFR conditions
