Ornge, Ontario's air ambulance and critical care transport provider, is seeking Rotor Wing Captains based in multiple Ontario locations (Kenora, Sudbury, Toronto, London). Requires 2000 hours rotary-wing experience and 500 PIC hours on multi-engine aircraft. Permanent full-time position with competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and pension.
Requirements
- Valid Air Transport Pilot's Licence (ATPL) Helicopter issued by Transport Canada
- Minimum 2000 hours of rotary-wing flight experience
- Minimum 500 hours as Pilot-In-Command (PIC) of multi-engine aircraft
- 2 years of experience in Instrument Flight Operations
- Valid Group 4 Instrument Rating
- Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate
- Completion of secondary school and graduation from certified flying or aviation school
- Valid Canadian Passport or ability to work in Canada
- Ability to travel to the USA
- Satisfactory criminal record search
- Required immunization records with required vaccinations
- Ability to work various shifts (12 hours) including days, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays in 24/7 environment
- Willingness to overnight away from home base
- Must live or be willing to relocate within close proximity to assigned base
- Ability to comply with CARs rest requirements between shifts
- Arrival at assigned base within 1.5 hours of callout when on-call
- Clean shaven to ensure proper fit of respiratory protective equipment
- Experience flying multi-engine helicopters desirable
- Experience using Night Vision Goggles (NVG) and flying EMS operations desirable
- Ability to successfully complete Controlled Goods Security Assessment Application for NVG purposes
