About This Role
Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking an experienced Production Test Pilot to join their Flight Operations team in Appleton, Wisconsin. The role involves conducting comprehensive flight test evaluations of production aircraft, engines, and avionics systems to ensure compliance with design and performance specifications. Candidates must have a minimum of 1500 total flight hours (or 1000 PIC on turbine aircraft), valid ATPL license, and Class 1 Medical Certificate, with Gulfstream G7/G8 type rating and test pilot experience strongly preferred. The position offers full-time employment with up to 25% travel, supporting Gulfstream's mission as a world-leading business jet manufacturer and General Dynamics subsidiary.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct flight test evaluations of production aircraft, engines, avionics systems, and related systems
- Verify aircraft compliance with design and performance specifications
- Operate Gulfstream aircraft in support of Airborne Customer Support (ACS)
- Perform corporate transportation and customer accommodation flights
- Support demonstration flights and customer training
- Participate in Gulfstream maintenance and production test flights
- Maintain broad knowledge and understanding of flight operations procedures
- Communicate with Gulfstream personnel to support customers and operations
- Coordinate aircraft repair and maintenance assessments with Corporate Maintenance and Technical Operations
- Assist Gulfstream Dispatch with flight planning and coordination
- Manage safe and efficient conduct of assigned flight activities
- Act as brand ambassador for Gulfstream and General Dynamics
Requirements
- Valid FAA ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot) License upon hire
- Minimum 1500 hours total flight time OR 1000 hours Pilot-in-Command of turbine-powered aircraft
- Valid 1st Class FAA Medical Certificate upon hire
- 5 years professional pilot experience in aviation industry
- Gulfstream G7 or G8 type rating preferred
- CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) certification preferred
- Functional Test Pilot experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Fluent in English (read, write, speak, understand)
- Must be able to maintain FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
