About This Role
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics seeks an experienced Production Pilot for their C-130J Hercules Flight Operations team in Marietta, Georgia. The role involves conducting acceptance check flights, functional tests, and engineering evaluations of newly assembled and modified C-130J military transport aircraft. Candidates must have a minimum of 2000 hours PIC in multiengine aircraft with 200 hours on transport-type aircraft, plus a current FAA Commercial or Airline Transport Pilot certificate and military Instructor Pilot qualification. This position requires a Secret Security Clearance, US citizenship, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally for up to 30 days, with part-time remote work options available.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct production acceptance, functional check, and engineering test flights on new or modified C-130J aircraft
- Pilot aircraft on delivery and ferry flights
- Pilot aircraft on airshow demonstrations
- Conduct demonstration flights with customers, government officials, or media representatives
- Provide pilot input to flight test, production, engineering, training, customer support, and business development teams
- Define requirements and develop Statement of Work for C-130 aircraft production acceptance and training
- Develop and review ground and flight test plans
- Conduct Safety Reviews, First Flight Readiness Reviews and Design Reviews
- Review, validate, verify, and update aircraft flight manuals
- Provide classroom, simulator, and flight instruction for company and customer aircrew

Requirements
- Minimum 2000 hours Pilot-In-Command (PIC) time in multiengine aircraft
- 200 hours PIC during engineering and/or acceptance flights in multiengine transport type aircraft
- FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate
- Current or formerly qualified military Instructor Pilot
- Current FAA Second Class or First Class Medical Certificate or able to obtain within 30 days of hiring
- Secret Security Clearance required
- US Citizen (required for security clearance eligibility)
- Willing to work evenings and weekends
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally for up to 30 days at a time
- Part-time remote telework arrangement
