About This Role
Indiana State University is seeking a Primary Flight Instructor to teach aviation students in the DA20 Katana aircraft at their Flight Academy in Terre Haute, Indiana. This is a part-time, no-benefits position paying $17.00/hour with flexible scheduling around the Flight Academy's operating hours. Candidates must hold a current CFI certificate and be actively flying, with DA20/DA40 experience and Part 141 flight school background highly preferred. The university will not sponsor visas, and candidates must already be eligible to work in the U.S. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the next generation of pilots in an educational environment at a nationally-ranked, diverse university.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide flight instruction to ISU aviation students in the DA20 aircraft
  • Conduct ground instruction to students in training
  • Perform pre-flight and in-flight instruction
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Current and valid Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate
  • Must be actively flying
  • Valid driver's license
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • DA20 and/or DA40 experience highly preferred
  • AGI and IGI certifications preferred
  • Part 141 experience highly preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree with Aviation focus preferred
