About This Role
Clay Lacy Aviation Part 91 corporate Lead Captain role on the Pilatus PC-24, based at KSNA (Santa Ana, CA). In addition to flying as PIC/SIC, the Lead Captain ensures crew compliance with regulations and SOPs, coordinates training events, reviews expense reports and invoices, and assists in managing crew schedules. Compensation $250,000-$280,000/yr with 100% employer-paid medical/dental/vision.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as Pilot in Command (PIC) or Second in Command (SIC) as designated.
- Ensure compliance with flight and maintenance schedules and other directives governing the aircraft's operation.
- Ensure crew compliance with flight & duty times limitations.
- Ensure accomplishment of pre-flight/post-flight duties & inspections IAW the AFM.
- Monitor crew members' performance and communicate to the Assistant Chief Pilot relative to annual performance reviews.
- Complete & approve crew expense reports.
- Review monthly billing summaries.
- Coordinate/manage crewmember's days off and vacation requests.
- Conduct monthly review of currency and upcoming training/evaluation requirements.
- Ensure compliance with fleet requirements (SOPs, required paperwork, etc.).
- Coordinate maintenance-related items and AOG events.
- Liaise with stakeholders and the Charter Department.
Requirements
- CLA Lead Captains should have the minimum experience required to safely operate the assigned aircraft in compliance with the company Operational Specifications, General Operations Manual, and Flight Operations Manual while meeting account management requirements.
- PC24 type rating required.
- First Class Medical Required.
- Applicable FAA Part 91 and/or FAA Part 135 requirements for aircraft type assigned.
- ATP certificate required.
- Must remain current with flight requirements.
- Valid & unexpired Driver's License.
- Valid & unexpired Passport.
- Lead Candidates are required to be type rated in the PC24 and reside within a 2 hour drivable commuting distance to KSNA, or be willing to relocate.
