Trego/Dugan Aviation seeks an experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for Learjet 45 operations based in Wheeling, IL. This Part 135/91 charter operation offers competitive compensation of $130,000-$160,000 annually for qualified pilots. Candidates must have a minimum of 2,800 total flight hours, 1,000 hours multi-engine time, 250 hours turbine time, and hold an ATP certificate or ability to obtain one. The position requires a current First Class Medical, ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends, and residence within 2 hours of the Wheeling base. Ideal candidates will have Learjet 45 type rating experience and willingness to work dynamic charter operations across North America.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate Learjet 45 under FAR Parts 135 and/or 91
- Ensure compliance with Trego/Dugan Aviation policies and procedures
- Manage duty, flight, and rest times per CFRs and company requirements
- Maintain communication with dispatch for standby duty and trip notifications
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight reporting
- Identify operational or flight department issues and communicate to Chief Pilot
- Maintain current First Class Medical certificate
- Ensure correct communication of flight schedules and updates
- Lift baggage weighing 50-100 lbs as needed

Requirements

- Valid US driver's license
- Must have authorization to work in the US

- Pass periodic random drug and alcohol testing
- Live within 2-hour call-out time of Wheeling, IL (PWK)
- Unrestricted ability to travel (Mexico, Canada, etc.)
- Clean FAA record preferred
- EFIS experience preferred
- 4-year college degree or equivalent preferred
