About This Role
Trego / Dugan Aviation is seeking an experienced Pilot in Command to operate Learjet 45 aircraft based in Wheeling, IL under FAR Parts 135 and/or 91. This business aviation operator requires a highly qualified captain with a minimum of 2800 total hours, 1000 hours multi-engine time, and 250 hours turbine experience, with current type rating or ability to obtain it. The position offers a competitive salary range of $130,000-$160,000 annually with flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work with a professional flight operations team. Candidates must be able to maintain a 2-hour call-out time from the Wheeling, IL base and possess unrestricted travel ability throughout North America.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate Learjet 45 aircraft under FAR Parts 135 and/or 91
- Ensure compliance with Trego/Dugan Aviation policies and procedures
- Manage duty, flight, and rest times per CFRs and company requirements
- Maintain communication with Trego/Dugan Aviation for standby duty and trip notifications
- Conduct pre- and post-flight reporting
- Maintain current 1st Class Medical certificate
- Communicate correct flight schedule and any updates
- Identify operational or flight department issues and report to Chief Pilot
- Maintain current knowledge of FAR/GOM/SOP company revisions and updates
- Pass periodic random drug/alcohol testing as directed

Requirements
- Valid ATP or ability to obtain
- Minimum 2800 hours total flight time
- Minimum 1000 hours multi-engine time
- Minimum 250 hours turbine/jet time
- Current in Type Learjet 45 or ability to obtain type rating
- Valid 1st Class Medical Certificate
- Valid US driver's license
- Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
- Pass pre-employment drug test and periodic random drug/alcohol testing
- Pass background check with fingerprint-based criminal records check per TSA requirements
- Unrestricted ability to travel (Mexico, Canada, etc.)
- Live within 2-hour call-out time of Wheeling, IL (PWK)
- Clean FAA record preferred
- Willing to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- 4-Year College Degree or equivalent preferred
- EFIS experience preferred
