About This Role
WMI seeks an experienced Pilot In Command to operate King Air C90 and B200 aircraft for special mission weather operations from Fargo, North Dakota. The position involves flying in specific weather conditions, weather modification missions, and cloud seeding operations with international travel requirements. Candidates must have a minimum of 2500 total flight hours with 500 hours of turbine time, a Commercial Pilot License with Multi-Engine and Instrument ratings, and a valid First or Second Class Medical Certificate. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in specialized aviation operations with a team-oriented environment and requires willingness to relocate internationally.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate King Air C90 and B200 aircraft during special mission operations
  • Assist in performing maintenance on the aircraft and special mission equipment
  • Replenish seeding agents as required
  • Keep meteorologists informed of storm and cloud development during operations
  • Maintain accurate flight records
  • Keep aircraft, office, and work areas clean and organized
  • Provide 24/7 weather watch as needed/requested
  • Maintain positive public relations and professional image
  • Provide key personnel with operational updates after missions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum 2500 hours total flight time
  • Minimum 500 hours turbine time
  • Commercial Pilot License with Multi-Engine and Instrument ratings
  • Valid First or Second Class Medical Certificate
  • Multi-Engine Time preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Fluent English with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid passport
  • Willing to relocate and travel internationally
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
