About This Role
Jet Linx is seeking a full-time Pilot in Command for a Gulfstream GV heavy jet based in Teterboro, New Jersey. The position supports Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations, reports to the Base Chief Pilot, and is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. The successful candidate must live or be willing to relocate within a two-hour callout time of the assigned home base.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Pilot in Command reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and prepares for and ensures the safe, efficient operation of company aircraft in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. Responsibilities include managing duty, flight, and rest periods in accordance with company and CFR requirements
- maintaining communication with the company regarding standby assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre-flight and post-flight reports
- maintaining and managing electronic flight bag hardware and applications
- keeping navigation charts, publications, and company manuals current
- maintaining a current first-class medical certificate
- applying strong, proactive decision-making
- and demonstrating Jet Linx core values in all interactions.
What We Offer
The starting base annual salary ranges from $195,000 to $251,000, with the actual amount dependent on geographic location, aircraft size, crew position, education, training, and experience. Requirements
- Minimum experience requirements are 3,500 hours total time, 2,000 hours total PIC time, 250 hours total time in type, 250 hours PIC time in type, 1,500 hours multi-engine time, 500 hours multi-engine PIC time, 500 hours turbine time, and 300 hours instrument time.
- Initial or recurrent Part 142 training in type within the previous 24 months is preferred.
- Additional requirements include the ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license, proof of eligibility to work in the United States, a current passport, the ability to obtain an ATP, a first-class medical certificate, and an FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Candidates must pass pre-employment drug screening and participate in random drug and alcohol testing when required, maintain unrestricted ability to travel to EU, Canadian, and Caribbean destinations, pass a FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot, and be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- The role also requires living or relocating within a two-hour callout time of the home base, working primarily around aircraft and terminals, and moving up to 50 pounds frequently.
