About This Role
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a NetJets and Berkshire Hathaway company that has provided aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, is hiring a Pilot in Command (Captain) for a Gulfstream 650ER based at Washington Dulles International Airport (KIAD) in Dulles, Virginia. The aircraft is staffed as a three-pilot account supported by a dedicated maintenance technician and a cabin attendant, operating under FAA Part 91 and Part 135. The PIC holds final responsibility for operating the aircraft safely, compliantly and efficiently while delivering an exceptional, service-focused experience to owners and passengers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensures the safe operation of each flight: confirms that crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements
- completes flight planning, performance, and weight-and-balance tasks for each assignment
- leads required briefings using the Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risk
- follows company Standard Operating Procedures and coordinates with company personnel
- acts as Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator per company policy
- completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verifying the maintenance status to ensure the aircraft is mission capable
- records aircraft discrepancies per SOPs
- monitors and ensures ground-servicing items such as fueling, oil and oxygen are accomplished correctly
- delivers passenger briefings
- and applies Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate clearly with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal and emergency operations. Delivers an exceptional service experience by providing quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM experience, investigating and resolving service deviations, collaborating with fellow crew members and internal partners, and resolving conflict appropriately. Maintains proficiency and compliance by keeping regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience current, complying with the company Safety Management System (SMS), and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.

Requirements
- The role seeks candidates with 4-6 years of experience, and prior experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred. Applicants must hold an FAA type rating in the applicable fleet and be able to perform the essential functions of the position. Minimum flight-time requirements are: total flight time 3,500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL) 1,500 hours
- Pilot-in-Command 2,000 hours
- PIC Multi-Engine Land 500 hours
- Instrument 300 hours
- and jet time 500 hours.
