About This Role
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company and NetJets subsidiary, is hiring a Captain to support a Global 5000 and Global Express aircraft based at Bridgeport, Connecticut (KBDR). The operation is a three-pilot account with two dedicated maintenance technicians and conducts both Part 91 and Part 135 flying. The Captain has final responsibility for safe, compliant, efficient aircraft operation and for delivering a high-quality owner and passenger service experience. The type rating is preferred, but applicants with international or similar aircraft experience may be considered. Commuting is not permitted, and crew members must live within two hours of Bridgeport.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain holds final responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated safely, compliantly, and efficiently. Responsibilities include ensuring crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements
- completing flight planning, performance, weight-and-balance, and other assignment preparation
- leading required Threats, Plans and Considerations briefings
- following company Standard Operating Procedures and coordinating with company personnel
- acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator
- completing aircraft pre-flight tasks, including reviewing maintenance status, to confirm the aircraft is mission capable
- recording discrepancies under company procedures
- monitoring and ensuring completion of ground servicing such as fueling, oil, and oxygen
- and conducting passenger briefings in accordance with policy and regulation. The Captain provides the highest level of customer service, accommodates special passenger needs including those of physically challenged passengers, and uses Crew Resource Management and Threat and Error Management to communicate clearly and promptly with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations. Additional responsibilities include providing quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to improve the EJM service experience, investigating and resolving service deviations, collaborating with crew members and internal EJM partners, resolving conflicts appropriately, maintaining required training and recency, complying with the company Safety Management System, and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through the proper channels.

Requirements
- Prior corporate or business aviation experience is preferred.
- An FAA type rating in the applicable fleet or similar aircraft experience is requested, although the posting states that applicants with international and similar aircraft experience will be considered.
- Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum flight-time requirements are 3,500 hours total flight time, 1,500 hours Multi Engine Land (MEL), 2,000 hours Pilot in Command, 500 hours PIC MEL, 300 hours instrument time, and 500 hours jet time.
- The position is based at Bridgeport, CT (KBDR), does not allow commuting, and requires the crew member to live within a two-hour radius of BDR.
- Executive Jet Management conducts pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
