About This Role
Tyonek Services Group, Inc seeks a Fixed Wing Pilot in Command (PIC) for its in-house flight department, supporting an operational mixed fleet of fixed-wing and rotor helicopters under 14 CFR Part 135 and Part 91 in support of executive transport, crew changes, surveillance, and offshore logistics. Position is based in Anchorage, Alaska. Hourly, Full Time.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Pilot-in-Command (PIC) is accountable for the safe conduct of assigned flights, responsible for the operation, safety, and security of the aircraft and the safety of all crew members, passengers, and cargo on board.
- Duties include pre-flight inspection and equipment checks, ensuring safe operation per 14 CFR Regulations and Company SOPs, checking and assessing weather and FAA NOTAMs, promoting Crew Resource Management (CRM), participating in Operational Control tasks, communicating with maintenance regarding discrepancies, maintaining currency with certification and flight experience, ensuring the aircraft is airworthy and properly documented, supervising fueling and oil operations, meeting flight planning requirements, handling HazMat per 49 CFR 100-177, briefing passengers per FAR Part 135, participating in the safety management system, and completing post-flight duties including weight and balance signoff and flight/duty logbook maintenance.
- The PIC's duties are delegated to the Second in Command (SIC) only if the PIC becomes incapacitated during flight.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Be qualified in accordance with 135.243.
- Possess a valid FAA ATP Certificate, A type rating, if required.
- Hold a valid FAA first class medical certificate.
- Have at least 1,500 hours flight time.
