About This Role
Serve as Pilot in Command for EJME, taking responsibility for safe and efficient flight operations while delivering a high standard of customer service. The Captain ensures compliance with the aircraft Flight Manual, company Standard Operating Procedures, Operations Manuals, checklists and applicable legislation; independently monitors navigation and terrain clearance; reports safety occurrences and aircraft defects; and supports customer satisfaction and retention.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as Aircraft Commander and ensure the safety of every flight and passenger in accordance with the aircraft Flight Manual, company Standard Operating Procedures and applicable legislation. Operate each flight safely and efficiently under company procedures
- confirm safe navigation by continuously and independently checking the aircraft's geographical position and terrain clearance
- and complete all operational procedures and checklists required by the Airplane Flight Manual, Operations Manuals and the flight commander. Report any occurrence or incident that has endangered or could endanger safety, as well as any fault, failure, malfunction or defect that could affect airworthiness or safe operation. Provide consistently excellent customer service to promote customer satisfaction and retention.
Requirements
- Candidates must have at least 3,000 hours of fixed-wing flight time and 500 hours of multi-crew experience, demonstrate excellent performance, and possess extensive European flight experience.
- They must pass an upgrade course comprising ground school and simulator training, although Direct Entry Captains assigned to non-commercial operations may receive a dispensation from that requirement.
- They must also complete Captain line training, including the line check required for commercial operations.
- A strong commercial-aviation background is required, with experience in an EUOPS and/or AIROPS environment considered an advantage.
- Military or airline training is advantageous.
- Fluency in English is required, while knowledge of at least two European languages is an advantage.
