About This Role
Jet Linx is hiring a full-time Pilot in Command for a Challenger 350 super-midsize jet assigned to a GYY-based aircraft operation in the Chicago and Wheeling area. The position supports both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations and requires the pilot to live, or be willing to relocate, within a two-hour call-out time of the home base. The PIC is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures, while maintaining strong communication, operational readiness, and proactive decision-making.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Pilot in Command reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and prepares for and ensures the safe, efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. Essential duties include managing duty, flight, and rest periods to meet company and CFR requirements
- maintaining communication with the company regarding standby assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports
- maintaining and managing electronic flight bag hardware and applications
- ensuring navigation charts, publications, and company manuals remain current
- maintaining a current first-class medical certificate
- applying strong, proactive decision-making
- and demonstrating Jet Linx core values in all interactions.
What We Offer
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The starting base annual salary ranges from $160,000 to $245,000, with the actual base salary depending on geographic location, aircraft size, relevant education, training, and experience. Requirements
- Minimum qualifications include 3,500 hours of total flight time, 2,000 hours of total PIC time, 250 hours of PIC time in type, 1,000 multi-engine hours, 500 multi-engine PIC hours, 1,000 turbine hours, 1,000 turbine PIC hours, 300 instrument hours, 1,500 jet hours, and 500 jet PIC hours. Initial or recurrent Part 142 training in type within the previous 24 months is preferred. Candidates must be able to obtain a U.S. driver's license, provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States, hold a current passport and first-class medical certificate, and have an FCC Restricted Radio License. The role requires the ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and participate in random drug and alcohol testing, unrestricted travel to EU, Canadian, and Caribbean countries, completion of a FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot, and availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required. The candidate is expected to live or be willing to relocate within a two-hour call-out time of the home base
