About This Role
Southwest Airlines is seeking First Officers to join their Flight Operations team and operate their fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft. As a major U.S. carrier known for friendly service and operational excellence, Southwest offers one of the most flexible scheduling policies in the industry. Candidates need a minimum of 500 hours in fixed-wing turbine aircraft with a valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and First Class Medical. Requirements
  • Valid FAA Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
  • Airplane Multiengine Land category and class ratings
  • English Proficient limitation on ATP certificate
  • Valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate
  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
  • Valid United States Driver's License
  • Valid passport with ability to travel internationally
  • Minimum 500 hours in fixed-wing turbine aircraft
  • U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S.
  • No work authorization sponsorship available
  • Minimum 23 years of age at time of hire
  • Must be able to lift and move 40 lbs
  • Must be able to read, speak, write and understand English
  • Must comply with company drug and alcohol policies
  • Successful criminal background check required
  • Must grant Southwest Airlines access to Pilot Records Database
  • CREW badge eligibility and Rap Back enrollment required
  • High School Diploma or GED minimum
