About This Role
Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is seeking experienced military-oriented pilots to support national defense and security objectives in a deployed operational environment based in Shalimar, FL. The ISR, Aviation, and Security business area is a leader in manned and unmanned aircraft systems integration with comprehensive C4ISR capabilities. Pilots will operate advanced aircraft on various missions including casualty evacuation, maritime patrol, and experimental test flights with a 60/30 rotational deployment schedule. Candidates must have a minimum of 1,500 hours total flight time with 1,500 hours PIC in multi-engine turbo prop or jet aircraft, valid CPL with instrument and multi-engine ratings, FAA Class II Medical, and an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance required day 1. Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years of pilot experience
- Minimum 1,500 hours total fixed-wing flight time
- Minimum 1,500 hours PIC time in multi-engine turbo prop aircraft, jet aircraft, or combination thereof in aircraft with GTOW 12,500 or greater
- Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with instrument and multi-engine rating without limitations
- FAA issued Class II Medical Certificate
- Valid/Current U.S. Passport
- Ability to obtain visa for international travel
- Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance required on day 1
- U.S. Citizenship status required
- Able to pass FAA/Military Pilot Background Check
- Mandatory drug and alcohol screen
- Able to pass pre-deployment medical assessment
- Able to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations
- Willing to deploy OCONUS on approximate 60/30 rotation
- Ability to deploy for extended amounts of time to various OCONUS operating locations
- Willing and able to work extended hours, holidays, and shift schedules
- Strong understanding of aviation safety regulations and procedures
