About This Role
Jet2.com's Future Second Officer Programme is a unique 6-week pathway for newly qualified pilots to transition into the commercial airline environment. The award-winning UK airline and tour operator offers newly qualified pilots comprehensive training to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for the flight deck. The programme includes a fully-funded type rating on either the Boeing or Airbus fleet, with over 25% of Jet2's pilot workforce having graduated from this programme or the former Pilot Apprentice scheme. Candidates must have completed professional flight training with a valid UK Part-FCL Pilot's Licence, ATPL results, Multi-Engine Instrument Rating, and APS MCC/Advanced UPRT certifications.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Participate in 6-week development course covering flight deck operations
- Immerse in Jet2.com operational procedures and culture
- Complete fully-funded type rating on Boeing or Airbus fleet
- Develop knowledge and skills for commercial airline environment
- Prepare for Second Officer duties on scheduled operations

Requirements
- Valid UK Part-FCL Pilot's Licence
- Valid UK Class 1 Medical Certificate with minimum 6 months validity on joining
- APS MCC completed
- Advanced UPRT completed
- Strong ATPL results and training record
- Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (ME-IR)
- Unrestricted right to work in the UK
- Evidence of flying currency through training and/or regular flying
