About This Role
ACI Jet is hiring a full-time Aircraft and Crew Manager who will serve as the Challenger 605 PIC based at San Luis Obispo County Airport (KSBP). The ACM leads the assigned aircraft and crew, manages the aircraft-owner relationship and travel, oversees crew staffing, maintenance, aircraft outfitting, financial reporting, and operational readiness, and flies Part 91/135 missions under Executive Jet Management’s Part 135 certificate. The role combines safe and compliant flight operations with high-level owner, charter-client, vendor, and employee service, and requires residence within a two-hour drive of KSBP.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Aircraft and Crew Manager collaborates with ACI Jet Flight Operations Management and the aircraft owner to ensure complete operational success and is responsible for the owner relationship and satisfaction with the aircraft operation.
- The ACM oversees the owner’s travel, including trips on which the ACM is not assigned, recruits or assists with recruiting crewmembers, assigns crew to all aircraft operations, balances workload fairly, and ensures crewmembers remain competent in their duties.
- The role includes ensuring the aircraft is properly outfitted for the client and operations, coordinating aircraft maintenance with the Director of Maintenance, confirming that revenue and expenses match owner expectations, verifying monthly accounting invoices, and completing monthly owner reports.
- The ACM mentors other pilots on the account, fulfills PIC or SIC duties when assigned, and acts as the assigned-aircraft subject matter expert by maintaining a high level of proficiency and technical knowledge.
- They respond promptly to operational questions from Dispatch, Maintenance, and pilots, researching issues when necessary to provide informed answers.
- Flight operations must be conducted safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures, manufacturer limitations and manuals, governmental rules and regulations, and other applicable agency requirements.
- The position also requires providing courteous, professional customer service to aircraft owners and EJM charter clients, remaining knowledgeable about applicable ACI Jet SOPs and the EJM General Operations & Maintenance Manual, and completing a proper pre-flight inspection covering the aircraft, publications, documentation, equipment, passenger-service items, fuel, weather, customs, permits, and airport and runway suitability.

Requirements
- The role requires 3,500 hours of total flight time, 2,000 hours of PIC time, 1,500 hours of multi-engine time, and 300 hours of instrument time.
- A CL-604 type rating is highly desired but is not stated as mandatory.
- Applicants must hold an ATP Pilot’s Certificate with an English-proficient endorsement, meet ICAO Annex I, Section 2.1.10 requirements and all EJM Charter Pilot eligibility requirements, hold a First Class Medical, and have a valid United States passport.
- The posting accepts either a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or 3–5 years of professional aviation experience.
