About This Role
Air Canada is seeking experienced First Officers to join their pilot team based in Toronto and other Canadian crew bases. This position is exclusively for pilots currently employed by Jazz Aviation LP (Air Canada Express). Air Canada operates one of the largest widebody fleets in North America, flying to 180 destinations across six continents with a diverse fleet including the A220, A320, B787, and B777. Candidates require a minimum of 2000 hours total flight time, valid Canadian ATPL with multi-engine instrument rating, and Canadian citizenship. Requirements
- Minimum 2000 hours total fixed wing flying time
- Valid Canadian Airline Transport Pilot (ATPL) License
- Current Group 1 (Multi-engine) Instrument Rating
- Canadian citizenship
- Ability to pass Air Canada and Transport Canada Category 1 medical certificate requirements
- Valid visual acuity requirements for Category 1 medical
- Eligible to hold a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Ability to travel without restriction throughout Air Canada network
- Currently employed by Jazz Aviation LP (AC Express)
- Desirable: Three or four-year diploma/degree from college or university
- Desirable: Aviation college degree or diploma
- Desirable: Commercial or military flight experience
- Desirable: Jet and/or turbo-prop multi-crew experience
- Desirable: Pilot in Command time
- Desirable: Experience on aircraft with max ramp weight exceeding 15,000 kg
- Desirable: Minimum two years flying with current Express carrier
- Desirable: Flight instructor or check pilot experience in 705 operations or Air Force
