About This Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Pilatus PC-24 Captain for an operation based at KCOE airport in the Hayden, Idaho area. The captain will operate the aircraft safely and prudently, support the company's client travel mission, complete required flight and trip documentation, and maintain compliance with Solairus policies and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations. The role is intended for an experienced captain who can work on call, complete annual ICAO International procedures training, and live within two hours of a major commercial airport or relocate.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Pilatus PC-24 and for conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner. Duties include reviewing the aircraft's maintenance status
- conducting a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- checking weather and facilities along the planned route, including alternate airports
- ensuring flights comply with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- protecting the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork under current procedures.
Requirements
- The Qualifications section lists 3,000 hours of total time, 1,500 hours of PIC time, 1,500 hours of MEL time, 500 hours of MEL PIC time, 500 hours of turbojet time, and 250 hours of instrument time.
- The applicant must be type rated on the Pilatus PC-24 or a comparable aircraft and hold a first-class medical.
- The role requires availability to work on an on-call basis and the ability to complete ICAO International procedures training annually.
- The captain's primary residence must be within a two-hour drive of a major commercial airport, unless the applicant is willing to relocate.
