About This Role
Jet Linx Aviation is hiring a full-time Pilot in Command for Citation XLS+ midsize-jet operations based in Houston, Texas. The position supports both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations, and the successful candidate is expected to live or be willing to relocate within a two-hour callout time of the home base. The PIC reports to the Base Chief Pilot and is responsible for the safe, efficient and compliant operation of company aircraft, as well as operational communication, flight-document management, EFB administration and adherence to company procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Pilot in Command reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and prepares for and ensures the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. Duties include managing duty, flight and rest times in accordance with company and CFR requirements
- maintaining communication with the company regarding standby assignments, trip notifications, position calls and pre- and post-flight reports
- maintaining and managing electronic flight bag hardware and applications
- keeping navigation charts, publications and company manuals current
- maintaining a current 1st Class Medical
- applying strong, proactive decision-making

Requirements
- Minimum experience requirements are 3,500 hours total time, 2,000 hours total PIC time, 250 hours total time in type, 250 hours PIC time in type, 1,500 hours multi-engine time, 500 hours multi-engine PIC time, 500 hours turbine time and 300 hours instrument time.
- Initial or recurrent Part 142 training in type within the previous 24 months is preferred.
- Candidates must be able to obtain a U.S. driver's license, provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States, hold a current passport, have the ability to obtain an ATP, hold a 1st Class Medical and possess an FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Applicants must pass pre-employment drug screening and submit to random drug and alcohol testing when required, including testing for marijuana, cocaine, opiates, PCP and amphetamines in safety-sensitive functions.
- The role requires unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries, successful release and completion of an FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot, and availability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Most work is performed around aircraft and aircraft terminals, and the position requires frequent movement of up to 50 pounds.
