About This Role
Dynamic Aviation is seeking an experienced part-time Oil Spill Response 737 Captain based in Bridgewater, VA to operate a modified B737-500 equipped with dispersant spray systems for emergency oil spill response operations. This is a specialized government contractor role focused on protecting U.S. coastal waters including Alaska, Hawaii, and the Caribbean. The position requires a minimum of 2000 total flight hours with 1000 PIC hours, 1000 multi-turbine hours, and 200 hours on the 737 Classic. Candidates must maintain currency, be available approximately 10 days per month on an on-demand basis, and be able to respond within 3 hours of activation to mobilize anywhere in the response region. Requirements
- Valid ATPL or equivalent pilot license
- At least Second Class Medical Certificate
- Minimum 2000 hours total flight time
- Minimum 1000 hours PIC
- Minimum 1000 hours multi-turbine time
- Minimum 50 hours instrument time
- Minimum 200 hours on Boeing 737 Classic
- Valid US Passport
- Able to pass Personnel Security and Background Check
- No felony or drug-related convictions
- Flexibility for 24/7/365 on-demand operations
- Able to be at airport within 2 hours of activation
- Able to be airborne within 3 hours of activation
- Able to respond for up to 30 days away from base
- Maintain low-level flight currency
- Able to travel as required
