About This Role
Emirates' National Cadet Pilot Programme is an elite, fully sponsored ab-initio training initiative designed for ambitious Emiratis seeking to become world-class pilots with the world's largest international airline. The comprehensive four-year program covers all training costs including ground school, flight training, simulator experience, and type rating at Emirates Flight Training Academy and Training College in Dubai. Upon successful completion, cadets will hold a Commercial Pilot Licence with Multi-Instrument Rating, Multi-Crew Cooperation certification, and a Frozen ATPL, qualifying them to operate modern widebody aircraft. The program combines rigorous academics, advanced flight training, and mentorship from industry experts, culminating in a First Officer position with a competitive salary of AED 52,105 per month plus accommodation and comprehensive benefits.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Complete ground school training using state-of-the-art technology and VR simulation
- Complete approximately 274 hours of flight and simulator training
- Undergo type rating conversion on Emirates widebody aircraft
- Complete line training on assigned Emirates widebody aircraft
- Operate Emirates widebody aircraft on international scheduled routes to over 140 destinations
- Maintain compliance with UAE General Civil Aviation Authority regulations

Requirements
- UAE citizenship with valid UAE passport and Khulasat Al Qaid
- Completion of National Service before joining program
- Minimum height of 160 cm
- BMI of 29 or less
- Medical fitness with Class 1 Medical Certificate
- Age 18-21 for high school graduates or 22-26 for degree holders
- High school graduates: minimum 80% score from scientific stream (chemistry, physics, or mathematics)
- Degree holders: minimum GPA of 3.0 in scientific or engineering major
- IELTS score of 6.0 (minimum 5.5 per element) or TOEFL PBT 510/IBT 6.5
- Ab-initio pilot with zero flying hours at entry
- Successful completion of all assessment stages: mathematics/physics, medical pre-screening, compass test, aviation English, psychometrics, and panel interview
