MAF (Missionary Aviation Fellowship) is seeking experienced Mission Pilots for remote locations across Africa and the Pacific to operate light aircraft in challenging environments. Requires CPL with instrument rating, minimum 500-1000 hours depending on location, and Class 1 Medical. This is a mission-driven opportunity serving isolated communities.
Requirements
  • ICAO Commercial Pilot License with instrument rating
  • Valid Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate
  • IELTS English proficiency level 6 or equivalent
  • Minimum 500 to 1000+ flight hours (depending on country AOC and aircraft)
  • Candidates from Preferred Training Providers may qualify with minimum 250 hours
  • Strong aptitude in verbal and numerical reasoning
  • Knowledge of aircraft performance and loading
  • Knowledge of aerodynamics
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems
  • Weather proficiency
  • Aircraft instrumentation knowledge
  • Crew/Cockpit Resource Management skills
  • Pilot decision-making capability
  • Safety and quality systems knowledge
  • Experience in small aircraft and single-pilot operations to CPL standards (desirable)
  • Commercial or corporate aviation experience (highly recommended)
  • IFR operations experience (desirable)
  • Mountain or bush flying experience (desirable)
  • French language proficiency (highly desirable for Chad, Madagascar, Guinea)
  • Valid work permit for assigned country
  • Christian commitment or alignment with MAF's mission (implied)
